The Cycle of Success consists of : Learning – doing – reviewing – correcting – and then repeating the process with the corrections added. It is important to Know and Understand “ The Cycle of Success.” If you have the desire to attain Optimal Health, So, let’s get real and start calling HEALTH the good stuff and all of that junk the bad stuff. However, all of that so called “GOOD STUFF” poisons the body and makes it work harder, which leads a person to becoming overweight, possibly experiencing migraines, Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cirrhosis of the liver, lung cancer, and many other Dis-Eases that disable people or cause suffering in their later years. as GOOD STUFF and feeling deprived when we can’t have it, is a sad situation. The “Habits of Dis-Ease”: the habit of mislabeling alcohol, cigarettes, sodas, sugar, candies, cakes, cookies, pasta, bacon, etc. If I can just coach people into understanding that “Habits of Health” add vitality, peace, serenity, and joy to their lives, I will be happy and blessed. If I can, in some way, contribute to anyone’s improvement in their health, I’m here to assist. I have watched people doing what my dad did and it saddens me to no end. It is not that I want to live as long as my mom. I have been able to maintain that weight loss since.Īt age 79, it is my desire to create a community of clients and a team of coaches that will help many others enjoy transformational living. I joined as a Health Coach and have since dropped another 10 pounds. In 2014, I was introduced to a program called Take Shape for Life, now Optavia, a subsidiary of Medifast Corp. Over the next year, I lost 10 pounds and congratulated myself on my accomplishment but was not quite satisfied. Needless to say, that awakening, seeing that picture without any rationalization, without denial, was a defining moment in my life. My wife was complaining about my beer gut, and I didn’t even drink beer. At 71 I saw a picture of myself and was appalled at what I had allowed to happen to my life. I, myself, fell into my dad’s pattern of life. My mother passed away at 107 years young. She maintained her weight, stayed active, and completed a 24-hour fast once a week. I remember her taking alfalfa tablets from Shaklee Corporation as part of her health regimen way back in the 1950’s. However, through it all she kept her chin up and maintained a positive attitude about life. As a single parent and schoolteacher in South Dakota, life sometimes seemed to be nothing but a struggle. She still loves music and singing and seems to enjoy life to the fullest. She is now living in assisted living and sometimes doesn’t recognize us kids, but at times gives us that big smile, indicating that things are well with her. My mother, on the other hand, living through many struggles, continues to thrive at 105. My father did not take care of himself, lived a life of excitement, enjoying the so-called good things in life, suffering from type II diabetes and pulmonary problems the last 13 years of his life. It’s amazing how life turns out, if we just allow it to unfold. They also apply to mental clarity, as well as having a Spiritual connection with something greater than yourself.ġ. Habits of Health are not just those that lead to physical well-being. They continually use Slight Errors in Judgment, thinking it will lead them to a place of peace ( a delusion ). Habits of Disease usually use instant gratification to mask a problem. Habits of Disease leave you with an attitude of despair. Habits of Disease are those of a dis-empowering nature. Nothing works, nothing helps, I'm never going to get a better attitude. Habits of Disease are habits you've developed that keep you in a dejected, depressed world of distress. Habits of Health normally depend upon delayed gratification, the idea of practicing Simple Disciplines over a long period of time. Habits of Health leave you with an attitude of gratitude and one of hope. Habits of Health will always empower you while on your life’s journey. Habits of health are the habits you've developed that lead you towards a more serene, peaceful life-a life of acceptance, not resignation, but an honest gut level recognition of who you are and what you are.
